Bold South Sports is led by Tyler Jones—an entrepreneur, NIL executive, fundraiser, and certified athlete-agent with more than fifteen years of experience at the highest levels of marketing, sports, and political campaigns.

After two decades leading campaigns and advising governors, members of Congress, and three presidential candidates, Jones shifted from politics to college athletics—with the same goal of helping underdogs do the seemingly impossible. In 2023, he launched Bold South Sports, an NIL representation agency that represented more than 20 student-athletes across the South who collected national-championship rings, All-America honors, first-team all-conference nods, conference Player-of-the-Year awards, and team MVP trophies. Jones still holds his agent license and now represents select athletes.

​In September 2024, Tyler Jones became Chief Executive Officer of the Charleston Edge Collective—the official NIL collective of the College of Charleston, a role he continues to hold today. During its highly successful first season, he helped the Edge exceed its fundraising goals and diversified CofC Athletics' revenue streams, securing long-term, sustainable support for the program and its student-athletes.​

A native of New Bern, North Carolina, Jones grew up on ACC basketball (and vinegar-based barbecue) and is an alumnus of Charleston Southern University. He has been married to his wife, Lauren, for ten years, and they have two children, Afton and Addison.
