Bold South Sports is led by Tyler Jones, a certified Athlete-Agent in South Carolina with over 15 years of experience in high-level politics, branding, and public relations.
Throughout his career in politics and public relations, Jones played instrumental roles in numerous high-profile campaigns, including three presidential races. He helped lead the groundbreaking PR effort to remove the Confederate flag from the state house grounds in 2015 and orchestrated one of the biggest political upsets in recent South Carolina history.
In 2016, he founded SPEAK Strategic Public Affairs, which became one of the most successful political communications firms in the state. In 2023, Jones brought on Renee Harvey as a partner and rebranded the firm as Bold South Strategies, LLC.
Recognized as one of the most influential political strategists in the country by Campaigns and Elections Magazine, Jones brings his seasoned political and public relations experience to the realm of NIL and athlete representation. With a profound understanding of marketing, branding, and sports, he offers a unique perspective to empower student-athletes and maximize their potential in the evolving landscape of college athletics.
Driven by a lifelong passion for sports, Jones launched Bold South Sports in 2023. His goal is to transition athletes into entrepreneurs and provide student-athletes with opportunities to monetize their brand.
Jones makes an annual pilgrimage to the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament, never misses at least one series at Wrigley Field to support his beloved Chicago Cubs, and has been a season ticket holder for the College of Charleston men's basketball and baseball teams and the Charleston Riverdogs. His deep-rooted love for sports, combined with his success in public relations and branding, positions him as an ideal advocate for student-athletes navigating the uncharted waters of NIL.

John is a proven communicator with a love for storytelling. From sharing jokes with friends to executing highly visible communications campaigns, John’s love for storytelling has become a dedication to finding innovative ways to reach audiences.
Before joining Bold South, John led communications efforts for political campaigns, nonprofits, and think tanks. Outside of his public affairs work, John has worked on numerous multimedia productions for various colleges and universities, as well as worked with live productions for networks including ESPN, SEC Network, Golf Channel, and MiLB Network.
A Bethesda, Maryland native, John spent his most formative years in Columbia, South Carolina. He attended the University of South Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and earned leadership distinction in professional and civic engagement.
Outside of work, John enjoys rounds of over-par golf, traveling the world with his wife Hannah, and spending time with his best friend (and dog) Lennon. He is a passionate Washington Nationals fan which has caused emotional instability for him since their inaugural season in 2005.
